- 19.101 teachers were given courses on the EU within the framework of our Project titled "Training for Trainers on the European Union" which is found very successful. Within the scope of our Project which continues with the title "Training for Trainers and Students on the European Union". "TURKAB Committee that will Contribute to the Negotiations with the EU" is founded upon the call from the Minister of State and the Chief Negotiator Ali Babacan with a letter dated November 2005. The Committee which is composed of Personal and Corporate Members of TURKAB as well as the experts coming from the Member Companies has conveyed that it can contribute in 23 Chapters.

Upon the letter coming from Secretary General of the Secretariat General for the EU Affairs, H.E. Oğuz Demiralp on May 2nd, 2006, TURKAB was asked to draw a Position Paper on Chapter on "Education and Culture". The members of TURKAB Committee that will Contribute to the Negotiations with the EU regarding this chapter has carried out the necessary work and handed in TURKAB's Position Paper on May 11th, 2006.

On May 18th, 2006, our Chairman Erdal Kabatepe has attended the meeting at the Secretariat General for the EU Affairs with the NGOs concerning the Chapter on "Education and Culture".
